Flint officials are reviewing options to join a nearly $14 billion settlement that funds PFAS cleanup efforts in public water systems with a July 1 deadline. Councilwoman Burns will put the issue on Monday’s City Council agenda to discuss submitting baseline PFAS sampling data + secure these funds for the community.

The 59th annual Flint Art Fair will take place on June 13-14 at the Flint Institute of Arts lawn, featuring more than 100 works from juried and local artists. The two-day event will include art activities for children + live music in the beer tent.

Flint removed a dangerous tree from the home of 85-year-old Helen Hobson as part of the Grant Tree Removal Program that protects vulnerable residents. Mayor Sheldon Neeley said grants are available for others facing similar hazards.
