- ➤ On Dec. 28, 2025, Monitor Township firefighters were honored after reviving an unconscious man on Calabria Drive using CPR and an AED. The rapid response stabilized the patient, who was transported to McLaren Bay Region for further treatment. Mid-Michigan Now
- ➤ Gloria Coles Library will host an MLK Day celebration on Monday, Jan. 19 to honor Dr. King. Local residents can join community activities and hear speakers as they remember his legacy. ABC 12

- ➤ The Gloria Coles Flint Public Library—celebrating 175 years—revives its Julia Moore Bad Poetry contest, inviting fun entries until March 18. Winners will celebrate and may read their poems on Saturday, April 18 at 2 p.m. at 1026 E. Kearsley St. Flint Beat
