ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A water main break near Pierson Rd. (between Linden Rd. and I-75) forced a Tim Horton's store to shut and closed the right lane of eastbound traffic today. The Genesee County Road Commission advises drivers to allow extra time as repairs continue. Mid-Michigan Now

- ➤ Zatar & Olive, a fast casual Mediterranean restaurant, will open its first Davison site by the end of February and plans a second location in Grand Blanc after a Feb. 16 planning meeting — the business aims to expand to 100 sites in 10 years. MLive
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Today, the Olson family from Genesee County honors their late son Nathan by offering memorial scholarships for students pursuing skilled trades. The family will host a Valentine's Day Cornhole event on Feb. 14 at Grand Blanc Lanes to raise funds for up to six scholarships + boost mental health awareness. ABC 12
- ➤ Swartz Creek Community Schools will begin virtual interviews for a full-time superintendent on Feb. 18 and 19 in the boardroom at 8354 Cappy Lane, and recordings will be posted online. A community meet and greet and a second interview round are scheduled for Feb. 24 and 25. MLive

- ➤ Shefit donated 1,000 sports bras and leggings to Hurley Medical Center's breast cancer navigation program in Flint on Tuesday, Feb. 3. Director Teresa Tafoya said the adjustable design supports women undergoing treatment. Mid-Michigan Now
