- ➤ Downtown Flint hosts the 46th Annual Pot O’ Gold Races on March 17 at First Street from 5:30 to 9:00 p.m. by Crim Fitness Foundation & the Sullivan & O'Sullivan Division, featuring a 4-mile run, a Little Leprechauns race, a .317K Beer Dash, and a St. Patrick’s Day Festival. Mid-Michigan Now
- ➤ Consumers Energy presented a $470,000 check to the Greater Flint Health Coalition on Tuesday morning to help local families pay their bills and fight rising costs, part of a $5 million program to assist with basic needs (customers can call 2-1-1 for help). Mid-Michigan Now

- ➤ Buckham Alley Theatre’s improv troupe Alligator Hotel will perform an unscripted comedy show at Flint Eagles Club on Wednesday, Mar. 11. Doors open at 6 p.m. and tickets cost $10 plus light snacks and drinks will be available for purchase. Flint Beat

- ➤ Genesee County Health Department is offering free dental screenings for kindergarteners through its Kindergarten Oral Health Assessment Program at Mott Children’s Health Center this school year. The program, required by state law, helps families identify dental issues early to support students' success in school. MLive
- ➤ Flint special education teacher Shanay Kidd-Cole and her students at Durant-Tuuri-Mott Elementary received a nearly $2,000 Youth Choice Award from the Mott Foundation in February to support their classroom food pantry. The grant will help restock supplies + upgrade equipment to keep the pantry running year-round. ABC 12

- ➤ The Michigan Department of State is now accepting entries for its popular I Voted sticker contest (open to students and residents) for the November election. The public will vote for finalists online in June and winners will be recognized in summer. Mid-Michigan Now
- ➤ The Genesee County Opioid Settlement Steering Committee held its first meeting last week to plan how to allocate $18 million (settlement funds) for trauma counseling, recovery housing and treatment programs, and chair Dale Weighill said the group will guide spending over the next 18 years.
