- ➤ A deep dive by Mid-Michigan NOW found that grocery prices stayed near inflation while meat costs in Flint jumped nearly 20% for beef and almost 30% for pork as the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted restaurants — University of Michigan Flint Professor Chris Douglass warned that global conflicts might push prices higher. - ➤ Burton Planning Commission approved a plan Tuesday, March 10 for a new Murphy USA gas station and convenience store on Belsay Road near Court Street, where a former Shell station stood.
