The pizza chain—acquired in 2022—is known for creative flavors like the Huckleberry and Pickle pizzas and offers a daily $4 slice special.

City officials and community members have expressed doubt about the market’s ability to operate without full financial support.

On Friday, the Michigan Public Service Commission approved a 2.8% rate hike for Consumers Energy customers, which will boost revenue by $153,809,000—after reducing the company’s original request of $325 million.

Attorney General Dana Nessel said the move marks closely spaced reviews as the company filed its latest request 91 days after the previous approval.

Hilary J. Allen, a securities and banking law professor, testified on March 19 that using blockchain for federal payments with DOGE tech could expose government systems to cyber-attacks — she warned that such vulnerabilities might delay Social Security and Medicare deposits.
