  • The Grand Blanc City Council approved fines up to $500 for student fights at local schools and Burton City Council scheduled a demolition hearing for the old Southmoor Golf Club property at 4312 Dort Highway—while two Flint residents now face charges for falsely accusing a Burton police officer of theft.  MLive

SPORTS NEWS

  • The Michigan women’s basketball team lost 76-55 to Notre Dame in a tough NCAA Tournament game—played at Purcell Pavilion on Sunday, March 23rd. Freshman Olivia Olson led with 20 points while only two players scored in double figures—ending Michigan’s run in the tournament.  MLive
  • The Michigan State Spartans trailed in the first half and rallied last Sunday night to beat New Mexico 71 to 63 in Cleveland—securing their Sweet 16 spot—and will face Ole Miss on Friday.  MLive
