- ➤ Fenton woman Joan Gray learned her mother’s ashes—once thought lost after a chemical spill—were safely delivered to a PO Box in Wiggins on March 24. USPS confirmed the delay and safe delivery, easing Gray’s worries about her mother’s memory. ABC 12
- ➤ On March 25, the Ruth Mott Foundation awarded nearly $3M in 16 grants to Flint groups supporting youth programs, public safety, economic opportunity, and neighborhood development from community input during its 25th anniversary. - ➤ Herman Moore, former Detroit Lions receiver, attended an art therapy session at West Middle School on March 25 to support students and staff coping with the loss of local teacher Jaimi Hagenauer and coach Logan Welch. - ➤ Flint City Council corrected a clerical error on Monday, March 23 in the funding resolution for North Flint Food Market—switching fiduciary responsibility to North Flint Reinvestment for the $150,000 ARPA funds to support store operations. The market opened in November to serve a local food desert. MLive
- ➤ Michigan for Responsible Data Centers coalition launched this week to help communities learn about data centers' effects on jobs, power use and environment. State Rep.
