- ➤ Genesee County approved a two-year deal on March 25 for Thomas the Tank Engine to run rides at Crossroads Village, with schedules set for Aug. 14-16 and Aug. 21-23. Ticket and merchandise sales will be shared with Thomas Licensing to support village events. MLive

- ➤ Local owner Samia Baig opened Bayt & Brew at 1491 S. Linden Road to offer a cozy haven with unique coffee, chai tea, and tasty treats — designed for busy families. The cafe is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. and weekends until 10 p.m. MLive
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ MDOT will close the Miller Road ramp on westbound I-69 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on March 30 (backup on March 31) and the Morrish Road ramp on eastbound I-69 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on April 3 to let crews place rumble strips for a $33.5 million project to repair 15 I-69 structures. Mid-Michigan Now
