- ➤ The YWCA of Greater Flint held its largest Circle Lunch fundraiser Wednesday, April 29 at Genesys Banquet & Conference Center in Grand Blanc, raising funds to support survivors and maintain its safehouse shelter through education and advocacy. Mid-Michigan Now

- ➤ Childcare costs locally rose from $10,861 in 2023 to $13,454 in 2026 (Michigan's Children reported this increase), and advocates are urging lawmakers to expand scholarship programs for families of children under four. Mid-Michigan Now
