EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ On May 12, Genesee County Sheriff Chris Swanson honored the 100th and 101st IGNITE program graduates—Tyler Storey and Leonard Montgomery—at a jail graduation that marked a key step to help break the cycle of incarceration by offering education and job training. MLive
- ➤ Flint is offering a variety of summer programs for youth that include storytime at Applewood, nature camps, sports sessions and arts workshops. Several programs begin soon and run through summer—families are encouraged to sign up early—because slots fill up quickly. Flint Beat
