CULTURE NEWS

  • Carman-Ainsworth High School's prom featured a Fallen Flowers theme on May 17 at the Golden Glow Ballroom in Saginaw where 225 students and guests danced the night away. Attendees enjoyed a photo booth, appetizers, and desserts — moments captured by a local photographer for lasting memories.  MLive

ECONOMY NEWS

  • The Flint & Genesee Economic Alliance announced that 26 Flint businesses will receive GM-funded grants through the Moving Flint Forward program, with 16 new businesses getting $10,000 each and 10 returning recipients $5,000 each for expenses like equipment and improvements.  MLive

HEALTH NEWS

  • Flint residents will attend a free Community Health and Resource Fair on May 22 from noon to 3 p.m. at the Clio Road Community Service Center. They will receive water filter pitcher systems, smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, health screenings, and assistance information—Flint Police and Fire will share safety tips and provide children’s activities and giveaways—to connect residents with vital support.  Flint Beat
