  • Mott Fest returned Saturday at Mott Park Recreation Area on Nolen Drive in Flint and offered family-friendly activities with live music, games, kids' sports, craft booths, food trucks, and a beer garden. Attendees enjoyed performances from DJ Ameer Rutherford, singer Millie Grasso, and the headline band Eclipse—organizers said the free event brought neighbors together.  ABC 12

BUSINESS NEWS

  • Delano Burton II opened On the Bricks Food & Spirits in downtown Flint in mid-May and held a grand opening on June 19; the new restaurant offers upscale dishes mixed with street food like filet mignon, birria tacos, and unique turkey tacos. Several MSU basketball stars and Olympic boxing champion Claressa Shields have visited, and a hidden speakeasy (X) will open later this month.  MLive

CULTURE NEWS

  • Flint Cultural Center celebrated Juneteenth on June 21 with a Freedom March that began with spiritual reflection + live music from Mama Sol and family art and craft activities followed by a tribute to African American heritage + the event marked a milestone in honoring community progress.  MLive

HEALTH NEWS

  • Genesee Health System is hosting a job fair tomorrow for its new Behavioral Health Urgent Care facility in Flint from 1 to 4 p.m. at 1040 W. Bristol Road+ the fair will feature full-time, part-time, and contingent roles including positions like Clinical Coordinator and Psychiatric Nurse with competitive pay and benefits.  Flint Beat

REAL ESTATE NEWS

  • The historic Burroughs Mansion was fully renovated and is now on the market in Flint for $725,000. The limestone estate, built in 1926, offers eight bedrooms, six bathrooms, over 10,000 square feet of living space and unique features—like butler’s quarters, a refined library and a full attic that once served as a private basketball court—set on more than three acres.  MLive
