- ➤ Fourteen years ago, Pablo Lopez was shot dead at his home on the 2500 block of Kansas Avenue and his family still seeks justice in this unsolved case. Flint police offer a reward of up to $10,000 for tips that lead to an arrest—local officials remain hopeful that a tip will finally uncover the truth. Mid-Michigan Now
- ➤ Dr. Barbara Wolf was shot and killed while helping a stranger on Christmas Eve in Oxford Township — Malik Letroy Webb is charged with felony murder and two others, including her daughter, were hurt — as McLaren Flint’s Graduate Medical Education program honored her by creating the new Dr. Barbara Wolf Humanitarian Award, which they posthumously gave to Dr. Simranpal Deol for his kind care. - ➤ A 20-year-old man is held without bond on seven charges including first degree murder after a July 3rd shooting at a Flint barbershop on Fenton Rd near Major St+ a 23-year-old man was killed and a 25-year-old man remains in serious condition+ he is set to return to court on July 17th. - ➤ Healthy Rides, a new non-emergency medical transportation service in Flint, will help residents get to vital doctor appointments when they cannot afford rides; owner Stacy Riley Burgess said the service covers appointments, dialysis, and pharmacy visits—ribbon cutting is planned tomorrow at 11:30 a.m. at 924 Eddy Street with city officials attending.
