- ➤ Friends of the Alley hosted the annual Alley Fest in Flint on Saturday from 2 to 10 p.m. — the event featured 16 bands, over 50 retailers and various food trucks to showcase local alleys. Mid-Michigan Now
- ➤ The Clio Center for the Arts held a grand re-opening ceremony and open house on Saturday — the center now offers classes for all ages and a gallery showcasing art by students, members and local artists after extensive remodeling. ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A large fire in an abandoned building on South Saginaw Street sent a thick cloud of smoke over Flint’s south side Saturday afternoon as firefighters worked to contain the blaze that destroyed a building that once housed Woobie's Bar—investigators will look into what sparked the fire. ABC 12

- ➤ Hangry Joe’s Hot Chicken & Wings opened a fast-casual restaurant near Flint at 2457 W. Hill Road in Mundy Township to serve Nashville-style hot chicken and Korean-inspired wings. The restaurant offers the popular Mega Sando, a stacked fried chicken sandwich with cider slaw, pickles & Hangry Sauce, and is open daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. MLive
- ➤ Michigan was ranked No.6 on CNBC's Top States for Business list on Thursday—moving up three spots from last year and reaching its highest ranking ever, based on 135 metrics. Gov. Whitmer said on May 21 at Kettering University in Flint that the state would keep working on job creation and manufacturing opportunities to maintain this positive trend. MLive
