The Fenton Planning Commission approved a site plan on July 24 for The Cleaning Authority’s new 11,395-square-foot headquarters at 983 Grant Street costing $2 million — the building will include space for up to five other tenants.
Construction will begin this fall and finish by late spring or early summer next — the new headquarters will replace the current rented space at 3230 W. Silver Lake Rd.

The Flint Institute of Arts held glassblowing demonstrations on Saturday with visiting artist Leo Tecosky who crafted an exclamation point sculpture—his work reflects a unique style inspired by hip hop and graffiti.
Public sessions are free every weekend and classes open on Aug 4 for those interested in glassblowing.

After Flint fixed its drinking water, state regulators led the state in safe water while many mobile home parks still lack proper oversight—one park owner pleaded guilty in March for unsafe water service.
