- ➤ A driver crashed his car into Woodland Lake on Hilton Road in Brighton Township on Sunday just after 6 p.m. following a medical emergency and quick-thinking good Samaritans rescued him from the sinking car—police and fire crews took him to the hospital—while his condition remains unknown. BUSINESS NEWS
- ➤ The City of Flint awarded 20 small businesses $20,000 each from a one-time ARPA grant to support neighborhood revitalization and equitable economic recovery along main commercial corridors. LISC-Flint administered the program in partnership with the Social Impact Philanthropy Initiative — businesses had to be brick and mortar, operating before 2020 and registered with the state, and awards reached all wards except Wards 7 and 8.
