- ➤ The Flint Branch NAACP is hosting its 43rd Annual Freedom Fund Dinner—'The Fierce Urgency of Now!'—at St. Michael’s Conference Center on Saturday, September 20 with a VIP reception at 5:00 p.m. and dinner at 6:00 p.m. Rev. - ➤ Four local businesses including Caught My Eye Barber and Beauty Supply, Flint Stool & Chair Co, Blackstone Smokehouse, and Flint Crepe Company received $20,000 grants this afternoon as Flint honored its small business champions.
