Flint native Eric Bennett, a Kearsley High School graduate and Vice President at Alliance Consulting Group, lost life on Sept.
11, 2001 in the World Trade Center when he was on the 102nd floor. His mother Betty honors him through a local scholarship fund (a lasting tribute to his spirit).
Flint YWCA will host its EmpowHER Day of the Girl Celebration on Sept.
26 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Mott Community College Event Center for Genesee County middle and high school girls and a guardian. The free event features keynote speakers + panel discussions, networking, and interactive experiences.

The Flint and Genesee Economic Alliance is seeking to bring advanced manufacturing jobs to the vacant Mundy Township megasite, a 1,300-acre site bounded by Maple+Hill+Elms+Linden roads, and has rejected plans for data centers.
