- ➤ Flint officials dedicated Haskell Community Center’s athletic field as Coach Glen Kelly Field to honor his decades of mentoring youth through sports—teaching teamwork, discipline, and integrity. - ➤ On Sunday, the Pray 4 My Hood event filled Ballenger Park with music and ministry as Christian rap artist Dr. Charles Stanley hosted it for the second year to share hope and a positive path for local youth—he said the event aimed to offer a better alternative to violent music. The event ran from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Dupont Street and brought a wave of inspiration to the community. ABC 12
- ➤ The 31st annual Golden Memories Car Show took place Sunday at the Sloan Museum campus in Flint—featuring original or authentically restored vehicles made in 1975 or earlier, along with a Suitcase Swap Meet and an Owner’s Choice Award. Paul St. Louis is leading a push to have the state designate the drive from Flint to Saginaw as a scenic byway — the proposed route runs from M-54 at I-69 to M-13 in Saginaw and highlights historical sites and local attractions.
