- ➤ Crime Stoppers of Flint and Genesee County hosted its second annual Whodunit event at Mott Community College, inviting local residents to solve The Case of the Missing Mascot by visiting interactive stations including a polygraph test and the Michigan State Police Crime Lab—helping build trust with law enforcement. HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Kaden Stevenson, a fourth grader from Grand Blanc, lost his legs to a severe flu infection and now stars as superhero Kaden Blaze in a new comic book—teaching others about flu prevention. His classmates at Brendel Elementary cheered his debut and Families Fighting Flu uses his story to urge vaccination. ABC 12
- ➤ Experts from University of Michigan Flint said Lyme disease cases increased by 168% statewide while Genesee County cases tripled since early in the year — signs of warmer weather and higher deer populations. Residents are advised to check for ticks after outdoor activities — using DEET-based repellent to lower their risk. ABC 12
