- ➤ St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church reopened its building on Dupont Street Sunday after a firebombing in August damaged parts of the structure. - ➤ The University of Michigan Board of Regents presented its $15.6B fiscal year 2026 budget at a Flint campus meeting on Oct. 16, noting a $145M boost in tuition revenue and a $1B allocation for financial aid as federal funds and support for the medical school decrease—Interim President Domenico Grasso praised UM-Flint’s enrollment growth and outlined changes in housing, athletics, and research funding.
