- ➤ Flint Farmers' Market announced that no new SNAP funds will be added to EBT cards in November while current benefits remain available amid federal funding uncertainty. The market immediately lifted its $20 daily limit on Double Up Food Bucks—letting customers match their full SNAP spending and use non-expiring tokens for frozen fruits and vegetables. - ➤ A new sports bar opened in downtown Flint last week with unique age restrictions—women must be 25 or older and men must be 30 or older—to offer a safe space for mature patrons. Co-owners Deonta and Montez Brown said they chose Flint to help revive the city and plan to address options for younger guests in the future. ABC 12

- ➤ At Blackstone’s Smokehouse in downtown Flint on Oct. 26, the 810 Fall Fashion Show featured 18-year-old Na’ziya Lewis, who brought her Paris Fashion Week collection to her hometown. - ➤ Flint City Council approved a plan on Monday to use a third-party agency to test water, pipes, and filters for mold and toxins in homes along the 3400–3600 blocks of Brownell Blvd after residents reported health concerns. The council may expand testing to nearby neighborhoods as it reviews logistics and costs. ABC 12
- ➤ The Latinx Technology & Community Center announced a $2 million state investment for pre-development on the Knoblock Redevelopment Project at 2116 Lewis St, Flint — the project will convert the historic Knoblock Hardware building into about 20 apartments plus commercial and retail space and a small business incubator. The funds support design, site preparation and planning that aim to revitalize Flint’s Greater Latinx District. ABC 12

- ➤ Lake Fenton senior running back Gavin Harvey was named Flint-area Friday Night Hero after scoring three touchdowns of more than 20 yards in the Blue Devils' 41 to 0 win over Flint Hamady on Oct. 24.
