- ➤ North Flint Food Market, a member-owned co-op grocery store on North Clio Road, opened its doors Wednesday after a decade of effort—its nearly 1,000 owner-members now support local farming and have a voice in future store decisions. ABC 12

- ➤ Mystifier Mike Super will present his interactive magic and illusion show at the Flint Institute of Music’s Whiting Auditorium on November 14th at 7 p.m. The family-friendly performance features unique tricks that invite voluntary audience participation—tickets start at $30 and $23 for Genesee County residents. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Genesee County Land Bank opened The Yard today on the site of the former James Lumber Yard to serve as a central hub for Flint maintenance crews— the $1.9 million project cleared an abandoned property and restored a 4,000 square foot pole barn for equipment storage, a mechanic shop and other work areas. - ➤ The Flint Housing Commission said repairs completed on November 12 restored full heat to three floors at Richert Manor on East Court Street. Employees tested temperatures throughout the building—ensuring that all floors maintained heat while space heaters were provided where needed. MLive
- ➤ A new Center Road Bridge reopened this week in Grand Blanc Township over Thread Creek for the first time since 1928, replacing the old span that closed in July for a $1.5-million reconstruction by J.E. Kloote Contracting. The Genesee County Road Commission said the bridge will close one day in the spring to get an epoxy treatment on its new deck — a final step in the project. MLive
- ➤ Flint City Council members demanded air quality testing at the police department headquarters after officers complained about mold, mildew, and asbestos from old water leaks — the council unanimously voted on November 10 to have the building tested to secure a safer work environment. MLive
