Good morning, Flint. Here's your local news at a glance for Wednesday, the 19th of November.

COMMUNITY NEWS

  • Multiple groups in Mid-Michigan will host free Thanksgiving dinners before the holiday, including events on Nov. 24 at the Mott Culinary Institute, Nov. 25 at Catholic Charities Center for Hope, and Nov. 27 at the East Side Soup Kitchen. In addition, the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan is partnering with local churches for food giveaways on Nov. 20, 22, 24, and 25 to help families prepare meals at home.  ABC 12
  • Foxy, a long-time resident at the Humane Society of Genesee County, has become less lively after over a year of waiting for a forever home. Staff say her visible scars from past dog attacks — which sometimes mislead adopters — have left her subdued, yet she remains loving and is fully vetted for adoption during shelter hours today.  Mid-Michigan Now
