- ➤ Judge Herman Marable saved a man’s life on a Brooklyn sidewalk last fall when he performed CPR during an emergency, and the survivor traveled from New York to thank him at his holiday party this month (with friends). Marable now supports extending CPR training to all court staff. ABC 12
- ➤ Inmates at Genesee County Jail formed a large prayer circle on Friday, Dec. 26, showing unity (Sheriff Chris Swanson said the gesture may help foster community safety). Mid-Michigan Now
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Flint community celebrates Kwanzaa at the Flint Odyssey House Adolescent Center, hosting daily presentations from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. until Jan. 1 + organizers say the event unites families and strengthens community ties. Mid-Michigan Now
