- ➤ Flint Pride returned downtown on Saturday, July 19th — its 15th year — as local artists, community organizations and businesses set up tents at the Downtown Flat Lot. Attendees showed strong support during the event. Mid-Michigan Now
- ➤ On July 18, Porchfest in Carriage Town brought about 20 musical acts performing on porches and makeshift stages — hundreds of residents enjoyed live music, food, and family-friendly activities as nearly 45 vendors set up booths. The festival marked six years of uniting neighbors with closing performances by Jon Connor and Jeff Skigh. MLive

- ➤ Grand Blanc Township Police arrested 20-year-old Ter-ray Pendleton on July 15 after he allegedly fired shots during a road rage incident on July 5 (a 9mm firearm linked to the evidence was recovered) and he now faces 13 felony charges. Mid-Michigan Now

- ➤ Flint's Summerfield Early Childhood Center will reopen Tuesday, July 22 at 10 a.m.—the upgraded facility at 1360 Milbourne Ave now has a new main entrance, repaired parking lot, new windows, a repaired roof and a new boiler system to enhance safety and comfort for Early Head Start and Head Start Preschool students and families.
